Terrell Suggs Tells Skip Bayless To Stop Being A “Douchebag” On ESPN’s First Take (Video)

Skip Bayless—ESPN’s resident rabble rouser and master irritant—and Pro Bowl Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs have engaged in a long-standing, back-and-forth war of words. While the perpetually entertaining exchanges are relatively good-natured, there always appears to be a hint of shared tensity with every slander-tinged dart Bayless hurls maligning the play of T-Sizzle (or his quarterback that the Ball So Hard University dean believes “could go out and beat anybody”) and vice-versa, every arrow Suggs returns questioning the integrity of the forever-baiting Bayless and his knack of tirelessly spinning things into his self-elevated prophet favor. Being conscious of this, I figured the day after the Ravens’ deeply heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots in the final seconds of Sunday’s AFC Championship game, tensions would have a great chance of overflowing.
And such would prove true during Monday morning’s episode of “First Take” when Suggs called in to speak with Bayless about the game. During the animated discussion, Bayless would attempt to lure an excuse out of Suggs; baiting him to admonish that some late-game scoreboard confusion was attributed to some “home cooking” for the misleading Patriots. At which point, things got real — leading an agitated Suggs, soon to become a hero to millions, to calmly tell the outspoken personality live on air, “Stop that. I know what you’re doing. Be an analyst. Don’t be a douchebag. You know what I mean.”
